Policy
Every cookie and tracking technology we use — on this website and inside the Waypoints Compass application — what each one is for, and how to control them.

Waypoints Digital LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) runs two different things, and they behave differently: our public marketing website at waypointsdigital.com, and the Waypoints Compass (“Compass”) application, including the pages where you sign up and complete your onboarding. The website sets analytics cookies you can refuse. Compass sets only the cookies it needs to sign you in and keep you signed in. This policy covers both, in that order.
1. On this website (waypointsdigital.com)
Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 for measurement only. It sets two cookies — _ga and _ga_ followed by our measurement ID — which distinguish one browser from another and hold the session's state. Both last up to two years (Google's default). We do not enable Google Signals, advertising features or remarketing, we run no advertising or conversion pixels, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choice, stored on your own device. When you decline analytics we record that in your browser's local storage under wp-analytics-consent. It is not a cookie and it is never sent to us — it stays in your browser so this site knows, on your next visit, not to load analytics. It remains until you clear your browser's storage for this site.
How consent works here. Analytics loads unless you tell us not to. You can decline at any time through the Privacy Choices link in our footer, and we honor your browser's Global Privacy Control signal automatically — if your browser sends it, analytics never loads and we do not wait to be asked. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings.
Our scorecard page. The scorecard at /scorecard loads no analytics at all. If you visited other pages on this site first, the cookies set there may still be in your browser; declining through Privacy Choices removes our use of them everywhere on the site.
Content embedded from other companies. Our campground website template demonstrations include a map: one page embeds a Google Maps frame, and another draws map tiles from MapTiler using OpenStreetMap data. Loading a map means your IP address reaches that company, and Google may set its own cookies inside its map frame — we do not control those, and their own privacy policies govern them. The walkthrough video on this site is served from our own storage, not from a video platform. Our typefaces are served from this site rather than a font network, so viewing these pages shares nothing with a font provider.
2. In the Waypoints Compass application
Essential cookies only — and no analytics. Compass carries no Google Analytics and no advertising or measurement trackers of any kind. The cookies it sets are the ones that make signing in work, so there is no opt-out for them: refusing them means Compass cannot keep you signed in. They are:
- Your sign-in session, set by our authentication provider (Supabase) when you log in, and cleared when you sign out.
- wp_device — remembers that a particular computer belongs to your park, so the sign-in screen can show your own staff roster instead of asking every time. Set the first time someone signs in on that device with an email and password, and it lasts one year.
- wp_kiosk — records which staff member is currently tapped in on a shared device. It lasts fifteen minutes, or until someone presses Lock.
Content and browser features inside the application. Our help videos are embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set viewing cookies unless you play a video. The sign-up and onboarding pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, which shares your IP address with Google; Compass itself serves its own. Where Compass offers a dictation button, it uses your browser's own speech recognition — in Chrome, that means the audio is processed by Google under Google's terms, not ours. None of these are required: you can read the help text instead of watching a video, and you can type instead of dictating.
3. Controlling cookies
Use the Privacy Choices link in our website footer for analytics on this site. Every major browser can also block or delete cookies for a site, and can be set to send Global Privacy Control. Blocking cookies on the website costs you nothing; blocking them inside Compass will prevent you from signing in. Questions about anything on this page go to connect@waypointsdigital.com.
